“I’ll always remember the feeling of defeat I had as I watched a storm threaten our wedding night, the hopelessness I felt as I started into an endless gray sky. As I looked out our hotel balcony toward Diamond Head, I could barely make out it’s peak through the rain and fog. We had prayed and prepared for months leading up to this moment only to see the rain attempt to wash away our joy and excitement.
But God is faithful and the storm would cease. As I made my way to the alter, a beam of sunlight broke through and eventually the clouds would part making way to clear, blue sky. Someone even told me that two green parakeets perched themselves and sang above me as I waited for you. I remember how beautiful everything was, the weather, the venue, our loved ones gathered around me. But it all paled in comparison to when you would walk down the aisle. People said they saw me shed a tear. I couldn’t help it. I would be marrying the girl of my dreams.
Some are calling it a miracle wedding and that nothing could prevent us from being united. This wedding wasn’t the wedding we were expecting. It was better, far beyond anything we could have hoped for. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. From February 11, 2017 till Forever, I love you Noel”
